We have been working for the last few months preparing for this moment.  We have finalized the Park upgrade plan, received approval from Borough Council and Parks and Recreation, and partnered with other organizations to build support.  Now, we need to fund this crazy fun idea.  We are working on grants and already have a Community Development Block Grant for $27,000 but it is crucial to raise funds from the people who live and work in Carlisle too.

Today we start our fundraising campaign!  There are 2 ways to donate!  We started our online campaign today through neighbor.ly.  http://neighbor.ly/projects/heberlig-palmer-park-renovation/

We created a short video so people know everything that is planned for the project, why it is important to us and what the park will look like when it is revitalized.

One other BIG way you can help us is to share these links out to your friends and neighbors.  We realize asking for donations is something people don’t like to do, but it is critical that we have a groundswell of people who show that a project like this is something the people of Carlisle want and will help make it successful.

Finally, please SAVE THE DATE of March 29th (rain date April 5th) for a community spruce up day in the park.  We will be prepping the park for spring by clearing out overgrowth, painting tables and signs, planting flowers and shrubs and any other projects we can think of.  All ages are welcome!  Come solo or bring a group of friends.
