We had the pleasure of hosting 40+ Dickinson College first year students for their community service work. They weeded, mulched and planted around the alleys of Heberlig Palmer Park, trimmed low hanging branches, cleaned up litter, mulched and weeded tree wells on neighboring streets and cleared storm drains. They worked extremely hard all afternoon and the weather was perfect for it. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the students as well as Dickinson Community Service , Marilyn Keener, Doug Weirich, Fred Baldwin, Brenda Landis and Chris Varner for coordinating the day! It’s amazing to see the impact a small group of people can make by working together for a few hours. Dickinson sent 725+ students out to volunteer all across Carlisle on Friday and you can see the fruits of their labor all across town.
