Project SHARE Farm Stand Open House, Celebration & Volunteer Day of Sharing

Farm Stand Open House Community Day of Sharing flyer (update

The new Project SHARE Farm Stand on the corner of N. Pitt and Lincoln St. has slowly been taking shape and soon enough it will be finished.  SHARE has reached out to West Side Neighbors, Shiloh Baptist Church, Carlisle Evangelical Free Church and The Tree of Life Church so we can pull together a BIG group of volunteers to assist with projects that residents in our NW Neighborhood need help accomplishing.  The Morning of Saturday May 16th will be the focus of the Volunteer work and the afternoon will be a grand public celebration held in Heberlig Palmer Park where everyone can celebrate the new Project SHARE Farm Stand and all those people who have contributed to the project.  The Park will also be renovated in the coming months so we are looking forward to more celebrations as our Neighborhood is improved block by block through the investment of time and money from our community.
Screen Shot 2015-03-11 at 2.00.48 PMThe projects for the morning of work should be sourced from our NW Neighborhood so volunteers can meet in the park and then move out to their assignments.  Projects can be from homeowners or renters in the general area between N. College St, N. Hanover St, West. Louther St & K St. We are looking to assist people who need an extra hand to accomplish a project but if the person is not elderly or disabled, they will be asked to actively contribute to the project and work side by side with the volunteers. Please send this along to people you know who might have a project volunteers could assist with.

*Please note that this is a request form for help and each project will be evaluated before a commitment can be made to undertake each project. Please submit projects by April 15th.
