YWCA Carlisle’s Girl Power Program Budget-friendly Holiday Sale

Browse unique holiday gift ideas available for purchase with prices ranging from $2 to $10. Items include snowman soup mugs, bracelets, peppermint scrubs and cookie mixes. Gifts will be available for purchase through Dec. 23. Proceeds from the holiday sale will benefit the girl’s program at Lamberton Middle School, Wilson Middle School and Carlisle High School.The Girl Power program is a leadership development program focused on the empowerment of adolescent girls in middle and high schools.
SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY will start on Saturday, November 29th, at all downtown stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities. Sponsored by American Express and implemented in Carlisle by the Downtown Carlisle Association and Greater Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce, this national marketing campaign encourages shoppers to Shop Local, when looking for their holiday gifts.

Santa Arrives & Christmas Tree Lighting
Santa will arrive on Friday, December 5th at 6 pm to formally bring the Christmas shopping season to Carlisle. Arriving in a secret “sleigh” Santa will first be joined by members of Borough Council, DCA representatives, and multitudes of children and their parents to see the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree. Santa will then be on hand from 6 pm to 8 pm for free pictures sponsored by Carlisle Regional Medical Center and Revelation Photography. Pictures can be downloaded or a print made and sent to the family with a commemorative downtown Carlisle Christmas card. Santa will be on-site next to the Old Courthouse on Friday, December 5th from 6 pm – 8 pm, for free pictures from Revelation Photography.

Shots with Santa
Explore West Pomfret Street and SHOP THE BLOCK, for the annual Shots with Santa. Each store will have a creative Santa for you to have your picture taken, along with a holiday beverage. Locations to be announced.

Rides will load and unload next to the Old Courthouse. Bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Project SHARE and receive $1 discount off the purchase of your ticket.
