Carlisle Urban Redevelopment Meetings-5/13 & 5/14-Community Economic Improvement and Neighborhood Enhancements

There are 3 upcoming Urban Redevelopment Meetings coming up in May including one that focuses specifically on the North Carlisle residential neighborhoods.  If you can make it to any of these, please make it to the neighborhood one.  It’s important have a good showing of residents at this meeting so we can voice our opinions as a community.

COMMUNITY ECONOMIC ENHANCEMENT AND NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS, Open House and Evening Public Workshop
– Tuesday May 13th at 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM 

The community is invited to participate in a public open house focused on the N. Hanover Street Corridor on May 13th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Market Cross Pub, in the rear room. Exhibits will be provided highlighting issues and opportunities related to making N. Hanover Street a more vibrant, 24-hour mixed-use, downtown, pedestrian-oriented street, especially focused on improving N. Hanover Street as a vital connection within the downtown and to the targeted redevelopment sites in the northern portion of the Borough.

A community workshop focused on the north Carlisle residential neighborhoods will held at the Stuart Community Center,  415 Franklin Street, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Exhibits will be provided focusing on existing programs and projects focused on neighborhood revitalization. The community will have an opportunity to provide input on potential improvements and programs focused on neighborhood revitalization and enhancement. Exhibits from the afternoon Open House, related to the N. Hanover Street Corridor, will also be available for public review and comment.

TRANSPORTATION, STORMWATER AND PUBLIC PARK/OPEN SPACE – COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE
– Wednesday May 14th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stuart Community Center

This community open house will provide an opportunity for the community to review and provide feedback on current detailed design concepts developed based on comments and input received at a series of meetings held in February 2014. Everyone in the community is invited to attend to review a series of exhibits illustrating project proposals and details focused on multi-modal transportation, stormwater management strategies and public parks and open spaces within the northern quadrant of the Borough. May 14th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stuart Community Center, 415 Franklin Street.
