These meetings are open to the public and directly affect our neighborhood so we encourage west side neighbors to attend and give their feedback. They will be discussing key intersections of Spring Rd/N. Hanover, N. Hanover/Clay St and N. Hanover and Penn St. They will also be discussing opening the streets between N. College and Spring Rd (B, C, & D Streets).
As we have seen with water pooling by the library, good storm water management is crucial for transportation and it can assist in keeping our waterways from becoming more polluted. This workshop is just as important as the transportation one so please try to attend both if possible
The workshop focused on multi-modal transportation improvements is scheduled for:
February 18th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The workshop focused on stormwater and green infrastructure improvements is scheduled for:
February 19th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Both will be held in the Borough Hall located at 53 West South Street
This video was shot over the summer and was featured at the PA Brownfield Conference in December 2013. It gives an overview of the Carlisle Urban Redevelopment Plan and you will see many familiar faces from the West Side, even in passing. It’s a great overview of the whole process of redeveloping the factory sites and transforming the NorthWest landscape.
