In an effort to make clear the facts about what a transition from Carlisle’s current in-house police dispatch to the County’s Dispatch Center for police emergency calls might look like, Perry Heath, Borough Council President, has invited members of the West Side Neighbors and any interested residents to take a tour of the 911 Call Center. This will be an opportunity for folks to meet the call takers and the management and hear directly from them about their operations. This would also be an opportunity to ask questions and hopefully dispel some of the myths and misinformation floating around regarding the potential changes in 9-1-1 services.
Tour of the County 9-1-1 Dispatch Center on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, July 30, at 7:00 PM
Wednesday, July 31, 7:00 PM
Monday, August 5, 9:00 AM
Monday, August 5, 4:00 PM
The center is located on Claremont Road directly across from the Cumberland County Prison. Just go to the front door and you will be allowed entry and escorted to the conference room. They ask that any attendees RSVP their intent to attend so that they know who and how many to expect as all the neighborhood associations are receiving a similar invitation.
